I am Jaden Soto and in this blog I would like to bring light to the effects brought on by the recent documentary “Leaving Neverland: Michael and me.”
After hearing of the things my idol had done it was a shock and change within my life and dreams. Though I heard these events, I still believe this man brought a change to the music industry, and what many people are capable of achieving through out their life.
Growing up everyone knew the name Michael Jackson, but no one mentioned the dark secrets that might have been in this mans life.

The Companies Actions:

After the release of HBO’s documentary “Leaving Neverland: Michael and me” radio stations in Canada, New Zealand and Australia have banned the famous pop king after the alleged abuse the late singer was accused of doing. The Jackson family has denied these allegations and are in the process of suing HBO for $100 million.
Canadian company, Cogeco Media and Austrian Nova Entertainment Group, also participated in the removal of all Michael Jackson’s music and playlists. New Zealand’s top radios stations, owned by NZME, took the musicians playlists off air on Wednesday, according to New Zealand Herald.
The Documentary:

The effects on the music:
With the negative feedback from this film, Michael Jackson’s recorded-music deal with Sony Music Entertainment is being questioned. This deal is estimated to be worth $250 million for the right the distribute the singers records for seven years.
